The Journey Continues: Dr. Zed Announces "The Revelation (Deluxe Edition)" Dropping June 27
Five years ago, I shared a piece of my soul with the world when I released my second studio album, The Revelation. That project wasn’t just a collection of songs; it was a snapshot of a lifetime of musical evolution.
I’ve been living and breathing music since I first sat down at a piano at 11 years old. Over the last two decades, I’ve had the immense privilege of sharing stages, trading riffs, and building lifelong bonds with some of the most talented musicians in the industry—people I am lucky to call my friends. The Revelation got its name because of exactly that: the incredible, beautiful things that were revealed to me over the years while creating music surrounded by good friends and pure energy.
For nearly fifteen years, my portable studio at New GRA, Trans Ekulu, Enugu, has been the laboratory where these sounds came to life. It started as a massive collaborative dream to reflect the Gospel, the vibrant arts, and the rich culture of our country through music. Frankly, if I didn't have this music as my anchor and my creative outlet, I’d go completely crazy!.
Now, five years after that landmark release, the evolution is complete.
This year, I went back into the studio to breathe new life into that foundation. I have meticulously remastered the project and expanded it into a massive, 13-track powerhouse: The Revelation (Deluxe Edition), officially dropping on June 27.
This deluxe edition isn't just a reissue; it is the definitive, high-energy vision of the album, packed with unreleased bonus tracks, remastered fan favorites, and an incredible lineup of collaborative heavyweights. From the introspective depths of "Hear My Heart" to the undeniable star power of regional icons and amazing friends, this album bridges the gap between where the journey started and where it’s heading.
